WARM WEATHER SHIPPING DETAILS
From May through mid-October, our warm weather shipping policy is applied in order to guarantee that our temperature-sensitive items arrive at your door in the best condition possible. This policy will automatically apply a $6 service fee at checkout to orders that require it.
WARM WEATHER COST: Shipments containing temperature-sensitive items will require our Warm Weather Shipping with an additional cost of $6.00 per address that the upgrade is applied to. This cost covers the use of insulated shipping box, express shipping, if needed, and cold packs.
INSULATORS AND COLD PACKS: Orders containing chocolates will be packaged in insulation sleeves with frozen gel packs during the May - Mid-October season. This special packaging guarantees the quality of the candy for up to 2 days and will gradually defrost during transit. Any shipment traveling outside of the standard 2-day delivery area will need express shipping.
CHOOSING A SHIPPING DAY OR DATE: From May through mid-October, we ship heat-sensitive items Monday - Thursday only. This keeps your temperature sensitive packages from sitting with FedEx over the weekend. Please make sure that someone is available to receive the package and take it to an air-conditioned area. FedEx will leave a package on your porch if no one is home, however River Street Sweets cannot be held responsible for melting when packages are left in this manner.
Apples - Apple orders are automatically upgraded to Express due to perishability and will ship separately from the rest of your order in specially made coolers. Apples cannot ship to PO boxes, Military addresses, Alaska, or Hawaii.
MILITARY, PO BOXES, ALASKA, & HAWAII: Some of our items cannot ship to military, PO Boxes, Alaska, or Hawaii addresses due to their perishability. These include Bakery items and Apples.
