River Street Sweets ships handmade Southern sweets from Savannah, Georgia. Because many of our products are freshly made, delicate, or temperature sensitive, shipping options may vary by item, destination, season, and delivery method.

Standard shipping is calculated per shipping address based on the order total.

Free Ground Shipping on Select Items

We offer a number of items with free ground shipping. Eligible items receive free ground shipping when shipped alone or with other free ground shipping items.

Express shipping may incur additional fees based on the shipping method selected.

Express & Special Shipping Services

Express delivery options may be available for eligible items and eligible shipping destinations.

• 2 Business Day Service: Adds $19.95 per item
• 1 Business Day Service: Adds $29.95 per item

Transit time does not include weekends or holidays. Express delivery charges are in addition to standard shipping charges and are added per item receiving the upgrade. Free ground shipping items upgraded to express service will be charged the applicable upgrade fee.

APO/FPO, PO Boxes, Alaska & Hawaii Orders

Orders shipping to APO/FPO addresses, PO Boxes, Alaska, or Hawaii must be placed by phone. At this time, we are unable to accept these special address orders through the website.

Some items cannot ship to APO/FPO addresses, PO Boxes, Alaska, or Hawaii due to perishability or shipping restrictions. These include, but may not be limited to, bakery items and apples.

Military Addresses

All orders shipping to military APO/FPO addresses receive free standard shipping with our compliments as we strive to support our troops. Express delivery is not available for military address orders.

Alaska & Hawaii

Orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii are charged standard delivery plus an additional $10.00 per item and are sent via the United States Postal Service. Express delivery is not available for Alaska or Hawaii orders.

PO Boxes

Orders shipping to continental U.S. PO Boxes are charged standard shipping and ship via the United States Postal Service. Express delivery is not available for PO Box orders.

International Shipping

We are unable to ship internationally at this time.

Military address types such as APO, FPO, and AE are still available, but they must be placed by phone and may be limited based on the items ordered and the destination.

Warm Weather Shipping

Special shipping and handling is required for temperature-sensitive shipments from early May through mid-October. During this time, an additional $10 per address may apply to allow for protective packaging, including insulated sleeves and frozen gel packs.

During warm weather shipping season, we typically ship Monday through Wednesday to help avoid weekend transit. Please call 1-800-793-3876 for more information about warm weather shipping.

Delicate & Perishable Items

Some of our sweets are more delicate than others. For this reason, our website may automatically adjust the shipping method for certain items. If additional changes are needed, we will contact you personally to verify the best shipping option.

Bakery Items

When temperatures exceed a certain threshold, handmade bakery items may require an express shipping upgrade for an additional charge. During the rest of the year, bakery items ship with our Bakery Express upgrade as needed for the destination and may arrive separately from the rest of your order.

Some bakery shipments may arrive with dry ice in the cooler. Please follow the unpacking instructions included with your delivery for proper handling.

Bakery items cannot be in transit over a weekend. Please select a ship date of Monday through Wednesday, or we may need to delay your order to the following Monday. Thursday ship dates require Next Day Air year-round.

Bakery items cannot ship to PO Boxes, military addresses, Alaska, or Hawaii.

Apples

Apple orders are automatically upgraded to express shipping due to perishability and ship separately from the rest of your order in specially made coolers.

Apples cannot ship to PO Boxes, military addresses, Alaska, or Hawaii.

Ground Shipping Transit Times

Ground shipping transit times are estimates and do not include weekends or holidays. Holidays, inclement weather, natural disasters, and other unforeseen delays can affect delivery dates.

All packages ship from River Street Sweets in Savannah, Georgia.
